Alexis Arnold Instagram – It’s hard to believe it’s been a week since our last day of filming. This film is far from complete, but I do want to take this moment to revel in the accomplishments of the group. It is my genuine belief that by the time everything is said and done we will all have a film we can be proud of.
Proud because not only are we in the process of making something emotional and meaningful, but we did while being kind, friendly, and in a way which demanded the best out of one another. We fostered a group where fun and professionalism went hand in hand. It isn’t the project I am most proud of, but the people and the attitudes that they contributed to it.
I started this project by saying “wish you were here” and now all I wish for is better words to say to encapsulate the feeling of leading a group of such artistically focused and demanding individuals. But all I can think to say is… thank you.
Thank you to the producers for believing in the independent ragtag group of artists that came to make @ificouldride2 the best film we possibly could. Your support is unheard of and under appreciated in my mind.
Thank you to the cast for always being professional and fun, and creating art in the best way. It was a joy to work with you and watch you all grow.
Thank you to the crew for blowing away my expectations and putting your all into your departments. You are the reason I say “we work with artists”
Thank you to my closest friends and confidants who allowed me to share my greatest triumphs and deepest fears while on the set directing my first feature film.
Thank you to my family, both the one cheering me on for years before I knew I wanted to do this, and for the one I made over the last few weeks while up in Vermont.
Thank you to myself, for giving me the grace to make mistakes, and the confidence to foster the certainty needed to get the job done.
