A couple years ago I was feeling the need to explore some heavy, complicated and painful feelings, so I asked my best friends if they’d be up for making a mini-micro-short as a way to express and release some of them.
Once we’d finished editing it, I didn’t know what to do with it as the heaviness of the feelings had been eased purely by the process of making something.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to get to collaborate with those I love most, and to make stuff purely because it feels GOOD, without the weight or pressure of considering where it might go or how I might share it.
All that is to say, making stuff (films, art, anything creative) is one of the main ways I heal, and I hope everyone can find their vehicle for healing and ride it as often as possible ✌🏼♥️
