Marunda
Ingredients
Ghee-1 Tbsp
Jaggery-1 cup
Water – 1 tbsp
Roasted Chana(Black Chickpeas)- 1/2 cup
Roasted & skinless peanuts-1/2 cup
Murmura (Puffed Rice)-2 cups (you may use popcorn also if you like)
Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
Method
-Heat ghee in a wok/deep pan. Add the jaggery along with a splash of water & allow it to melt completely.
-Now add the roasted chana, peanuts & mix well.
-Add murmura, a pinch of cardamom powder & give it a good mix.
-Remove on a plate, and as soon as you can handle it, roll them into large spheres which we call MARUNDAS.
