Words cannot express how truly breathtaking the beauty of Dominica is. We really needed this vacation and it filled our hearts and souls in all the best ways. I didn’t get amazing pics or videos – too busy taking it all in. But here are some. Just know, they don’t do any justice to how stunning and magical everything was IRL. We swam in a 25 ft deep gorge, hiked through the muddy, slippery jungle rainforest to swim in a waterfall, soaked in sulphur hot springs, kayaked in the Caribbean Sea, saw hundreds upon hundreds of dolphins, and were lulled to sleep each night to a chorus of frogs and bugs. We ate delicious home cooked food at the beautiful Jungle Bay Eco Resort and did yoga every day. It was hard to come home, but we left with a feeling of peace and gratitude. But we are huge Sondheim fans and neither of us had seen Bernadette Peters, live. So, we rallied and holy sh!t are we glad we went! Old Friends is a MUST SEE for any Sondheim fan. This cast is such a powerhouse of talent. My jaw is still on the floor. Treat yourself and GO! And please find ways to support the arts. American Artists, of all kinds, need us more than ever.
