Carla Harvey Instagram – Let’s kick off February with a little #griefwork over at @goodgriefcarla ❤️Have you heard the term disenfranchised grief?When we experience loss we grieve; but sometimes our grief is stalled by the idea that maybe we shouldnt feel the way that we feel. In certain situations people arent offered the right to grieve. They aren’t awarded much needed social support. Thats Disenfranchised grief in a nutshell: grief that goes unacknowledged or unvalidated by social norms. As a result its minimized or not understood by others, make it particularly hard to process and work through.
