UNICEF reports 1 in 4 children live in flood-risk areas, and over 300 million face dangerous heatwaves, increasing disease vulnerability.
Globally, women and children, often reliant on agriculture, face devastating consequences from droughts and floods. The World Bank warns climate change could push 100 million into poverty by 2030, disproportionately affecting them. Displacement, with over 20 million displaced annually, exacerbates their vulnerability to gender-based violence and exploitation.
True social justice demands prioritizing their needs. Empowering them through education, resources, and decision-making is vital. We must recognize their leadership in building a resilient and equitable future. Their voices are not just important; they are essential for our survival.
