Dolly Singh Instagram – Beauty is exhausting
I’m tired of trying to look beautiful all the time. I’m tired of learning about the 100 new serums, holygrails and musthaves that come about everyday. I’m tired of figuring out the 22 step beauty regime. I’m tired of thinking about beauty all the time as if glass skin is my gateway to nirvana.
My blindness is not limited to blush. I find myself blindly falling for ads with big claims. Blindly purchasing the cult and IT products. Blindly running after everything that promises to give me skin like the gorgeous girls I see on Instagram.
And somehow its never enough.
Plus the amount of money we spent on all this is pretty insane, don’t you think?
This is all skin related, don’t even get me started on hair care, body care and even my vagina care that must be fair and lovely too.
As a woman, friend, influencer, I’m also just as much the culprit as I am the victim but maybe as I grow I’m becoming more and more self aware and my respect to those who have given up on these beauty standards grows everyday.
