We’re glad to announce that Dorra Zarrouk has officially joined #MADCelebrity, where #MAD_Solutions will be exclusively representing her in the Arab world. Dorra Zarrouk is a prominent Tunisian Egyptian star with over 80 works across cinema, television, and theater that have made her a critical success and an audience favorite. Collaborating with renowned directors, producers, and screenwriters both in the Arab World and internationally, Dorra began her acting career on the stage in Tunisia, with Tawfik Jebali’s MAJNOUN. She quickly transitioned to television and film, starring in the 2002 French-Tunisian title KHORMA before making an international appearance in the BBC docudrama COLOSSEUM: ROME’S ARENA OF DEATH. She later starred with Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass in the series NADIA AND SARA, then starred alongside Dhafer L’Abdine in the Tunisian TV series MAKTOOB. She also had a prominent role in Nacer Khemir’s film WHISPERING SANDS. Her cinematic career flourished in Egypt; where she worked with legendary directors such as Youssef Chahine on HEYA FAWDA, Yousry Nasrallah on THE AQUARIUM, Amr Salama on SHEIKH JACKSON — Egypt’s official submission for the 90th Academy Awards — as well as box-office hits ANTAR IBN IBN IBN SHADDAD, and TOSBEEH ALA KHAIR. Her television work in Egypt includes EL KHOROUGH, LAHAZAT HAREGA, ELAAR, NESR EL SAEED, MOGA HARRA, SEGN AL-NISSA, AL-AJHAR, AL JAMA’A, BEIN AL-SAMA WA AL-ARD, JIDRAN, NASEEBY WA QESMETEK, as well as ELLA ANA. In Tunisia, Zarrouk shined in the films SENESHETA and BAB ALPHA, as well as the television shows LEILAT SHAK and AL MAESTRO. Her latest appearance was in the 2024 Tunisian action-comedy film SAHBAK RAGEL. Throughout her career, Zarrouk has represented a number of major fashion houses and brands, including Chopard and Armani. In 2024, she launched her own fashion house, Maison Dorra Zarrouk. Among the star’s most notable awards are the Murex d’Or for Best Arab Actress, and an Official Tunisian Order of Cultural Merit. Her official accolades include honorary by the Tunisian International Human Rights Festival.
