Dear who it may concern,
I like to choose a word at the start of every year—something to help anchor the next 12 months. My word for 2024 was softness, and to be honest, I spent most of the year running around it, forgetting about it, expecting it to just arrive… Sometime around 11.5 months later, it finalllllyyyy started to seep in. Call it my 30’s, collateral of the difficulties faced this year, or perhaps it was the moments of ease that came along with it…? More likely it was all of it that lead me to a new understanding of myself.
Softness helped me cuddle Ophie more and brave the depths of the ocean’s surface. It allowed me to listen to my soul, excavate new stories, and meet an octopus.
Looking at the photos that document this past year, I’m sure of one thing: I’m in love with life. Despite its hardships, challenges and loss it just keeps getting better. Cheers to 2025 and taking more pictures of @rihowlett eating food wrapped up by other food xx | Posted on 02/Jan/2025 23:37:05
