Salon 21 is pleased to present “Repose” by Holly Taylor, opening to the public by RSVP on March 6th from 6pm – 8pm. “Repose” is a study of the life of a dancer. For much of the artist’s life, dance was an integral part of her upbringing. Through this oeuvre, Taylor examines the beauty of ballet through a new lens, after years of rest, resulting in the exhibition’s apt title. Holly Taylor is an actress, dancer, and artist from New Jersey, currently living in London. Having worked on Broadway, TV, and film since the age of 11, Taylor’s curiosity about other forms of self-expression eventually led her to the fine arts after graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design and Advertising from Kean University. Taylor returns to the New York art scene this year for her debut exhibition at Salon 21.

Artist Q&A with Holly Taylor is now live on Substack 🗞️🎨 Leading up to her first solo exhibition in two years, Holly Taylor answered some questions about her artistic practice. The two of us met in London last summer when we presented an exhibition at Amie Wine Studio. Bonding over our love of the city and growing up in New Jersey, we discussed the idea of an exhibition at Salon 21 in New York. “Repose” opens at Salon 21 on Thursday, March 6th.
