Jemima Kirke Instagram – At one point in my life I renounced handbags altogether. I just looked like a nob carrying a purse, a clutch or any nice bag. I couldn’t pull it off. It always made me feel like a girl waiting to get into a nightclub. The solution, at the time, was to put my phone, smokes and wallet in a small black (black goes with everything) plastic bag from the corner store. That way, it didn’t look like part of my outfit but an incidental accessory. Now, at the ripe age of 64, I’m no longer making fashion choices to look like I’m not making fashion choices. I’m embracing the HANDBAG as I strut to dinner carrying my #etrovelabag complete with all the necessities.
