I’ve quickly fallen in love with diving and sense of calmness it brings.. even entering a tight, low lit, upside down ship wreck somehow brought so much unexpected peace.
Exploring these wrecks while simultaneously learning the tragic history of each we visited really brought a lot into perspective. The beauty and life that now inhabits each wreck from corals and fish are all a small tribute to those who lost their lives during Operation Hailstone. It’s definitely a very emotional exploration but so much history to see up close.
Most of the wrecks were pretty easily accessible for a recreational diver but I think after this trip I’m ready to start navigating into tec diving and coming back for round 2! 👀🤙🏻
