Khyati Shree Instagram – ‘Kha, piye aani majja kar’ is the message from Goa. I attended my first Goa Carnival and what a fun evening it was. It’s a 4 day event held in different parts of Goa each day. Its a celebration of Goan people, their culture, their music, their prosperity, their amazing zest for life. I have not seen a state festival that is so joyful, where young-old, men, women, children everyone participates, dances, laughs, eats and goes home happily. The carnival is a true reflection of the amazing state that Goa is, diverse, safe, peaceful, beautiful and fun. The event was absolutely safe for women, people from different religious backgrounds came together to celebrate their collective Goan culture, good messages were displayed in the parade of inclusiveness, harmony, some were silly, some queer, some cute and some thought provoking. There were beautiful floats, beautiful looking people, colorful outfits, colorful crowd.
