I heard a glorious @heathercoxrichardson quote today saying “authoritarians cannot rise if there are strong communities and people are acting with joy, that is you need despair and anger in order for an authoritarian to rise… it’s OK to say I’m not going to pay attention to politics for a while, but it’s not OK to stop bringing your best to the world. #womenshistorymonth♀️ TW: This is pretty emotionally violent if you are a femme bent creature watching it so take heart. I wrote this play a few years ago named “Cleo, Theo and Wu” I’ve repeatedly thought about this monologue at the end, and the trick. I am very in touch with my rage and I so appreciate the energy. It gives me to make good trouble. I’m posting this as a reel and it gets cut off, but it’s entirely is at the Kirsten‘s Agenda YouTube page. How fortunate am I to know a whole courtyard of creatives who are willing to last minute record themselves and edit something to make something. Make art. Especially especially especially now.
