Phenomenal cast led by @romanwbanks direct from Broadway as Michael Jackson, with choreography and staging that is simply, insanely, next level.
Set in the early 90s it looks back on Michael Jackson’s life to that point, his incredible catalogue of absolute bangers, his pill addiction, his tough upbringing at the hands of father Joseph, but mostly his preparations for the Dangerous world tour.
Yes, it does skate around the well documented allegations against him, and for some that will be, very understandably, an issue, but the show is not pretending to be anything other than a celebration of his genius musical and dancing talent.
And as a show, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a musical where there were two massive and lengthy standing ovations long before the show finished.
