Maria Grazia Chiuri Instagram – The first edition of the Florence Biennale in 1996, curated by Germano Celant, Luigi Settembrini e Ingrid Sischy, was a crucial moment in the history of fashion, as it was the first time that an international exhibit reflected on the cross over between art and fashion. On this occasion, the most notable designers, artists and key fashion personalities of the 1990s were invited to create works that filled the installation spaces.
This image shows the sketches of the crinolines which Ferré realized and installed within the Cappelle Medicee, illustrating the overlap between art, architecture and fashion. The architectural dimension of fashion is echoed in the crinolines reinterpreted for the @dior Ready-To-Wear Fall-Winter 2025 collection.
