Minnie Driver Instagram – The Vanity Fair Oscar party used to be at a restaurant called Morton’s on Melrose in Los Angeles. It was not a huge space which meant you were shoulder to shoulder with your favourite icons at the mirrors in the bathroom, and if you were lucky you’d end up next to Fran Liebowitz in a cramped booth whose commentary on the stumbling procession of A-listers was hilarious, terrifying and educational all at the same time. I left every single party when it was getting light, and in the heavenly pre-cell phone time there was only @alexberliner inside and the straggling papps outside to record your adventures.
