The tall, pyramid-shaped towers within the grounds of Wat Pho, known as Chedi or Stupa,have unique and fascinating architecture. These towers, designed in a pyramid shape, are primarily made of various materials such as bricks and tiles, and are covered with special decorations, including colorful Chinese porcelain tiles.
At Wat Pho, several stupas are located in different sections of the temple. These towers symbolize Buddhist teachings and are often used as places to hold ashes and important religious relics, such as the remains of prominent monks or Buddha.
Typically, these towers are built with a square or circular base, which then tapers upward into a conical or pyramidal shape. The beautiful and colorful design of these stupas is one of the distinctive features of Wat Pho Temple, attracting many tourists.
