I know everyone is overwhelmed with the news from the fires in LA to the gen0 s1des in Congo, Sudan, and G zza. It’s A LOT right now, but we cannot afford to stick our heads in the sand when there are things we can actively do to help others. Malak is very important to me and someone who, like everyone in G zza, right now has undergone a great deal of trauma. She is resilient because she has to be, but the one thing that keeps her focused and able to move forward is the prospect of evacuating sonewhere safe. At @_allourrelations, we help as much as we can, but we are unable to contribute to evacuations as the money we receive only just goes far enough to help people with the basics. Malak is making hard decisions to cut down on essentials so that she can save something to get out, but this means she is being forced to make compromises that no one should have to make. 🎉ALL OUR RELATIONS UPDATE🎉 We are constantly trying to find ways to become sustainable as a non-profit. Medium to long term, we have no future without a consistent revenue. Once we have that, we can begin to make plans to support our families not just with the bare essentials but in helping them to make plans for their future. I would love it if you would consider going to All Our Relations’ website and giving us a regular donation of £5 per month. This would have a huge impact on the work we do for our families. Also, we are planning to launch our Sponsor a Family page where you can pledge to donate to a family. This is so important to give families financial autonomy, a revenue, and an opportunity to make their own income until they are able to support themselves independently. All in the same week that we celebrated Christmas – the birth of a baby whose family sought refuge in Bethlehem, Palestine. What has happened to our humanity? And what can we do to end the UK’s complicity in the killing of children? What has happened to our humanity?
