Founded by the Roya Mahboob, from Herat, Afghanistan, the ✨Afghan Dreamers✨ became globally famous when they were denied a U.S. visa to attend their first competition in Washington D.C.
After a firestorm of media advocacy, the team was ultimately allowed into the U.S. to compete where they won an award.🏆But their setbacks didn’t and challenges didn’t end there, Roya and her team then faced searing attacks back home from those who thought girls should be banned from learning computers, traveling, and competing.🇦🇫✏️
