Phoebe Dynevor Instagram – “[Whilst filming Inheritance], there were moments where I genuinely didn’t know what was going to happen next. There’s a scene set in India where the cops start chasing me through the market, and I just began running. People around us thought it was real, so two strangers grabbed my backpack. That moment made it into the final cut. I was so caught up in the moment, I didn’t even realise that actual people were chasing me, thinking the cops were after me in real life!”
Little can shake @phoebedynevor when it comes to marching to the beat of her own drum. Since leaving the glittering world of the ton behind after Bridgerton’s second season, the Mancunian star has been carving a distinctly unconventional path with a series of offbeat, indie-driven films. From the psychological slow-burner Fair Play to the feel-good dramedy Bank of Dave, the 29-year-old actor has proven she’s more than ready to push boundaries. And now, she’s stepping into uncharted territory as Maya in Neil Burger’s Inheritance, a globe-trotting spy thriller uniquely shot on an iPhone. Featured in our Spring 25 issue, she discusses the transition from TV to cinema, the unpredictable chaos of filming Inheritance, and how she embraced a fresh perspective for the Miramax-released spectacle.
