Rashida Tlaib Instagram – Every single member of Congress who voted to cut health care for their families tonight need to explain their decision to the millions in their own state that will be hurt by this budget.
It’s shameful that seniors and children who rely on Medicaid will suffer because their BFF Trump needed $4.5 trillion dollars in tax giveaways for the wealthy people. By voting for this budget, they turned their backs on their residents.
Alone in Michigan, it will hurt 2.6 million families. In our 12th Congressional District, I know that 36,000 families who have coverage with the Affordable Care Act will see an average of $630 increase (that’s 50%) and close to 80,000 children will see a reduction in Medicaid health care coverage.
This is so shameful. I hope people are looking up how their member voted. This is how you know if you elected someone who has your back or not.
