👉 Ingredients:
Homemade soymilk: 4 cups
White Vinegar: 3 tablespoons
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
Oregano: 1/2 teaspoon
👉 Equipment:
Muslin cloth
Boiling pot
👉 Method:
Heat the soymilk in a pot until it starts boiling.
Reduce the heat and gradually add vinegar while stirring continuously until the milk curdles and separates into whey and curds.
Strain the mixture through a muslin cloth, squeezing out the excess liquid.
Mix the curds with salt, pepper, coriander, and oregano.
Wrap the curds in the muslin cloth and press under a heavy weight for 1-2 hours until firm. 🤩
Homemade tofu is not only more nutritious but also free from additives found in store-bought versions. Plus, it’s a great alternative to dairy-based paneer, offering the same texture without any exploitation.
