Words can’t describe how magical this place was for us. We felt incredibly lucky being able to experience this together and it was as though God was listening to us and decided to gift us these few days of memories.
The scenic places in Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu were next level. Every corner was a “wow” moment. Even though we came during their rainy season we didn’t have to worry about rain during our treks to the mountain. The route to Machu Picchu consists of a train and a bus so you don’t have to worry about insane hikes, unless you sign up to a 3 hour hike to the Machu Picchu mountain. 😅 #neverforget
Food is delicious except I can’t get past the cute guinea pigs so it was a hard no, but ceviche and the most delicious vegan tacos were hard to forget about.
I’m obsessed with Baby Alpaca fabrics and now Hubby is gonna work extra hard for us to buy vicuña when we come back to visit this city again. I think Ayuhuasca is also in the plan since we only did cacao this time around.
We started taking altitude prevention pills 4 days prior to arriving at Cusco so we didn’t get any altitude sickness while we were here, that’s my suggestion if you decide to go. It’s quite affordable here considering all the other places that we’ve visited on this trip.
