A panel discussion on Netflix’s Dabba Cartel – unpacking the many layers of storytelling and themes explored in the series. Complex female characters navigating the world of drug cartel in the iconic and ever-evolving backdrop of Mumbai and its dabbas, is not commonplace in Indian cinema. As society, women characters have been pushed into the binaries, in corners that is comfortable to society.
A powerful women-centric narrative: With an incredible cast led by Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Nimisha Sajayan, and created/produced by Shibani Dandekar the discussion would explore the complex lives of ordinary women who challenge societal norms in extraordinary ways by breaking out of pre-defined conventions.
