Nigerian actors Stella Damasus, Adesua Etomi-Wellington and Shaffy Bello are among the voices in IYANU—Cartoon Network’s new original series.
The show is said to feature an all-African voice cast, with production by Lion Forge Animation, making it a must-watch.
Created by Nigerian filmmaker Roye Okupe and based on his graphic novel Iyanu: Child of Wonder, the series follows a young orphan in Yorubaland who discovers ancient powers and embarks on a journey to uncover the source of an impending danger.
Premiering April 5 on Cartoon Network @cartoonnetworkofficial and streaming on Max @streamonmax from April 6, Iyanu brings a blend of magic, mythology, and an all-African voice cast that celebrates culture, talent, and representation.
