✨ CNY Salt Baked Chicken 年菜盐焗鸡 ✨
Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken
• 3 pcs Dang Gui (soaked until soft and cut into pieces)
• 1.5 to 2 tablespoons Salt (adjust to chicken size)
• 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
• 1/2 tbsp Hua Diao Wine
• 3 Ginger slices
• Shallots
• Garlic
• Spring onions
The magic:
1️⃣ Wash and dry the chicken, removing any unwanted parts.
2️⃣ Fry the salt over low heat until it turns slightly yellowish. Rub the salt over the chicken surface, and some inside the chicken. Let it rest for 20 minutes to dry the skin.
3️⃣ Pour sesame oil and Hua Diao wine into the chicken cavity.
4️⃣ Insert ginger slices, garlic, shallots, spring onions, and the Dang Gui pieces inside, along with the chicken feet.
5️⃣ Wrap the chicken tightly with baking paper and tie it firmly with hemp rope.
6️⃣ Let it marinate for 40 minutes.
7️⃣ Steam the chicken in a steamer oven for 45-50 minutes.
8️⃣ Unwrap and voila! Enjoy your Salt Baked Chicken!
Have a good Reunion dinner!㊗️大家家和万事兴,团圆共美满!🧧
