Chinmayi Instagram – A marital home can change everything for a girl in India.

My marital home showed me the strength and gave me a voice I never knew I had. Through everything I have done, post marriage – especially the MeToo movement, my mother in law and father in law were my greatest pillars of support.

My Father in Law was a rock, said nothing asked nothing of me except that he’ll always support me.

To the extent that my Dubbing Union ban case came up in Court yesterday and I HAD to appear in Court and there was nothing I could do. We finished his rites in the morning and I rushed to the Court in the afternoon and as the sons left to the cremation ground on one direction, I left to Court in the other, to say ‘Naan Solvadhellam Satyam’ holding up my hand. I prayed to his departed soul and that’s all I could do as I felt like shit standing there when I’d rather be elsewhere.

In life and in his passing this amazing man to me, was there for me… I dont know what else to say.

It’s been an extremely tough couple of months for our family especially for @rahulr_23 and Rohit after the diagnosis of cancer came through in December.
