Abao Instagram – One of Taiwan’s biggest singers, @abaotw, joins our lineup for a musical celebration of Taiwanese indigenous culture with her illustrious blend of Paiwan Folk Music, Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop and Electronic!
In line with MTN Bushfire’s celebration of diversity, Abao’s performance will bring us closer to the pride that the island’s indigenous peoples have in their cultures.
Get ready to connect with the language of the Paiwan people who are one of the 16 officially recognised Indigenous tribes in Taiwan, and the second largest.
In 2015, Abao founded the organisation Nanquaq to preserve and promote traditional indigenous music from across Taiwan.
