Bianca Golden Instagram – This year, I had the honor of designing our annual Design Competition, a space where we don’t just teach—we build, create, and apply. Education should be more than just textbooks and tests; it should be about real-world skills, hands-on experiences, and opportunities that translate beyond the classroom.
At the heart of it all, the goal was simple but powerful: to empower and spotlight student voices. Our students deserve to know that their stories, experiences, and perspectives not only matter but are valuable and deeply meaningful. Kids from the Bronx have power—their voices shape narratives, challenge norms, and inspire change, and this competition was about making sure they see and believe that.
This year, we took it one step further—I secured the TEDx License, officially making us TEDxCompSciHigh! 🎤✨
Now, our students are not just learning about ideas worth spreading—they are creating them. This is how we reimagine education, ensuring every experience leads to something tangible, meaningful, and transformative.
A HUGE thank you to our incredible judges, who immediately committed to showing up for our kids—pouring into them, igniting their fire, and ensuring they exceed the bar of excellence. Your presence, feedback, and belief in them made all the difference, and we are beyond grateful.
