Brittan Byrd Instagram – 5 days ago, more than 1,700 people have died and 3,400 people are injured so far from a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that just struck my stepmother’s home country of Myanmar ~ and now Myanmar has continued to be hit by more powerful aftershocks, hindering rescue efforts for those still missing. Poorly equipped rescuers and volunteers are digging with their bare hands through the ruins of collapsed buildings looking for any signs of life, leaving thousands of families homeless and hopeless
