Ememem is an anonymous French street artist known for turning cracks and potholes into colorful mosaics, a process he calls “flacking”—from the French word flaque, meaning puddle.
He began this work in Lyon in 2011 and now leaves his signature mosaics in cities across Europe and beyond. Ememem works at night to stay anonymous, and his art—often compared to kintsugi—highlights rather than hides urban flaws.
Through flacking, he transforms broken streets into poetic, eye-catching pieces that bring life and beauty to everyday damage.
