Courtney Halverson Instagram – Some days, I slip into the crowd like smoke, all soft at the edges and faint. I wind my way between conversations that were never mine to join, to slip in amongst a sea of strangers. I wonder if I impart anything as I pass through, maybe a hint of perfume or just a blurred shape at the edge of someone’s vision. And I think there’s something strangely comforting about it, the freedom of being no one to anyone for a while.
I weave and wind through the noise like it’s a dance I was born knowing the steps to, and I realize the city doesn’t notice me; I think I like it that way. I belong to no one here, and somehow that never feels lonely, but tender. It’s the kind of freedom that kisses you softly and leaves before you even have time to ask it to stay.
