About a year ago, I took this life changing step. Prior to this, I dedicated some months to consciously spending more time with God. I studied the word, fasted, prayed and bonded with him like never before. I can say without a doubt, that it was one of the happiest, most peaceful and most productive phases of my life. Church was amazing today. We talked about God showing up in darkest times. He loves to show up when all hope looks lost. I thought to encourage someone (as well as myself) today with this word based on the convictions I have through the experiences I have had; and I have had some amazing encounters with him I tell you. I may be smiling everywhere but I don’t play when it comes to God. He is my source. If you have tried everything within your power to enjoy your life, to be happy, to be productive, to have good relationships with people, but nothing seems to be working. If you are frustrated and tired of being disappointed by men or by your circumstances and you have no more strength left, I would like to, with love, invite you to turn your attention to God. He loves and cares about you more than your brain could ever comprehend. The God who created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, craves to be a part of your life. Let him in and see. The goal is not perfection. He knew we could never do it by our strength. That’s why he sent his son to die for us. Start with a few minutes everyday spending time with him and getting closer to him. Take it from there. I promise, you will love how it makes you feel. I wish you a beautiful week ahead. God loves you💌

Sometimes, it takes those who know your strengths to remind you of them. Last night, we premiered “Radio Voice” – my first film in nearly seven years. Thank you @mofedamijo & @msjazzyfied for still seeing the spark in me that I had unknowingly “dimmed”. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and encouragement from so many people who have missed seeing me on the big screen. As exhausted as I was, it was a night my soul needed. I heard every kind word and you all reignited something in me 🤍 Here’s to more light, more truth, and more magic on screen.
