A few days ago, we said goodbye to our sweet pup, Roxy. Her absence feels incredibly surreal, and it’s taken me some time to gather the words to share this. It was her time to go, but my heart hasn’t caught up yet. It’s hard to grasp that she isn’t here. For 15 years, I’d see that tail wagging when we came home, watch her shake her head like a horse when we said “food” or “walk,” and see her excitedly jump into the car when it was time for a road trip. Over the years, her tail wagged a little slower, her head shake gentler, and she needed help getting into the car. Her eyes grew cloudy, her ears less sensitive, and she slept more often. But there was always room for cuddles, and she always welcomed love. Always sweet, always ours. 15 years with Roxy, who sat by my side through the changes of a growing family. She is etched into my soul forever. 💔 . Há uns dias, dissemos adeus à nossa querida Roxy. A sua ausência sente-se de forma tão estranha e demorou alguns dias até conseguir escrever isto. Era o momento de a deixar ir, mas… o meu coração ainda não aceitou, parece surreal que ela já não esteja aqui. Durante 15 anos, vi a sua cauda a abanar sempre que chegávamos a casa, via a sua cabeça a mover como um cavalo quando dizíamos “comida” ou “passeio”, e via-a a saltar para o carro sempre que era hora de uma viagem. Com o tempo, a cauda abanava mais devagar, a movia-se de forma mais suave e ela já precisava de ajuda para entrar no carro. Os seus olhos ficaram nublados, as suas orelhas menos sensíveis e ela passou a dormir mais. Mas havia sempre espaço para mimos, e ela estava sempre pronta para receber amor. Sempre doce, sempre nossa. 15 anos de Roxy, que esteve ao meu lado enquanto a família crescia. Ela está gravada na minha alma para sempre 💔 . #roxy #love #dog #family
