Daniella Pineda Instagram – We shot our movie in Los Angeles in 2024. It was magical, because I knew how rare that was. This town was once a thriving industry. So many friends I know right now have nothing lined up, because films go where the tax incentives are. Or worse, to foreign countries where crews can be paid slave labor.
Our film is incredible. It has killer reviews. Want to know why? Because everyone who worked on this film came from a seasoned, top level Los Angeles crew. That’s not some coincidence. It’s just a fact. We make great movies because we have been doing it longer than anyone else.
What was once a creative, specialized line of work that could afford many a middle class living? That has gone. I have much more to say about this, but I am angry. People deserve to feed their families, they deserve to WORK.
Please continue to urge your representatives about the importance of bringing our work back home. I am grateful to have this film come out but it has also been bittersweet.
Its much more fun to celebrate a project like this when you know business is booming and everyone is winning. I love to see people employed, especially in the business of entertainment. @gavinnewsom please do not turn your back on us.
