If it’s #AutismAcceptanceMonth I’m always gonna post my favorite television moment ever. 🥹🥹This was from our show. #ForPeetesSake… it was quite literally the first time RJ ever opened up to me like this, and the cameras were there. They were kind of outside the room and I think that’s why he felt so comfortable, but he was very emotional after visiting the Detroit children’s Center and meeting so many children who were nonverbal. Opening up about what it felt like to not be able to speak, even though you had so much to say. What it felt like to allow yourself to be bullied just so you could make friends. It was a heartbreaking conversation, and I had to dig deep in my mommy bag of tricks to try to navigate it.
