Love is not for the faint of heart, especially when it’s up to you to leave it behind. The song takes place in a relationship because it’s commonly the place we see it happen the most. At one point or another, we’ve all found ourselves in relationships where we love and care for someone that no longer fits. We stay and hope they will change because who doesn’t want someone to love and be loved by? And it’s never really “that bad.” Until one day you wake up and want a beautiful life that’s much more than not “that bad,” and the only person who can change that is you.
