“Adolescence” is a heart-wrenching masterpiece. As a storyteller, I was completely floored… not just by the story itself, but by how it was told. The entire show was shot in one continuous take. One. Single. Shot. I genuinely can’t wrap my head around how difficult that must have been to pull off… and yet, they did it… seamlessly. The performances? Nothing short of genius. This is the closest thing to perfection I’ve seen in a long time.
But beyond the craft… as a human being, and as a woman who will raise children in this world… this fast, overwhelming world where information is everywhere and innocence slips away so quickly… I was shaken.
After watching, I honestly just sat there and cried.
