Be wary of hyperbole and straw person arguments as they are not scientific.
If someone feels the guidelines are wrong, a logical fallacy isn’t the way to make a case for a different interpretation. People should be able to support their claim with science. If there is no science to support their claim, then their claim may be right or it may be wrong. Medicine is filled with many disproven hypotheses. I’ve been in medicine for 38 years, and seen many ideas and pilot studies go nowhere.
