I’m baaaack! I’m really sorry for the long hiatus. Let me first describe this lovely dessert.
Spring is my favorite time of year, and sakura desserts are a huge reason for it! This beautiful sakura parfait is from one of my favorite cafes @cotocafe in Shinjuku. In the past, I also painted a peach parfait from here. Honestly, nothing need be said about the visuals here… so beautiful! But let me tell you about the flavor! Sakura flowers are often salt-pickled, and if done wrongly, can get a weirdly briney and unpleasant flavor…. but the sakura mont blanc and the sakura merengue had the perfect balance of floral, sweet, and salty, and the unusual combination with some raspberry elements was both surprising and delicious. I paired it with a raspberry latte, which I HIGHLY recommend as well! Coto Cafe is always really popular, so you may need to line up… but honestly this dessert is well worth the wait.
Now for some more personal information. There have been many (mostly positive!) changes in my life over the last year, and although I love painting, creating social media content is not very motivating now that all platforms prioritize video content (and I don’t want to be a video content creator). The backlog of pieces I needed to post was too overwhelming, but I finally sat down and created an official spreadsheet with a timetable and pre-scheduled content I should now be posting once a week or so until autumn at least, so thanks for being patient!

お久しぶり！！長い間何も投稿しなくてすみません。まずはデザートの説明させていただきます！
春は私が一番好きな季節です。特に桜スイーツが大好物なので、新宿にある @cotocafe の桜パフェを食べに行きました。（実は、以前 @cotocafe の桃パフェも描いたことがあります！）もちろん、ビジュアルがすごく美しい。でも見た目だけじゃないです！味も本当に繊細で美味しかったです。桜の塩漬けは好き嫌いが分かれると思いますね。私はものによって出汁っぽさを感じるものもあって、あまり好きじゃないから、桜スイーツを注文する時はいつも少し不安ですね。でもこのパフェは全くその変なくせがなくて、特にモンブランとメレンゲのちょうどいい甘味とフローラルの風味ににほんのり塩味のバランスが絶妙でした。そして、ラズベリーのものが入っていて、すごく相性が良かったです！一緒にラズベリーラテを飲んで、最高にいいスイーツの時間でした。
さてっと！少し個人の話です。この１年間、たくさんの変化がありました。引っ越したり、恋人ができたり、イラストとテレビ番組の仕事が増えたり・・・上手くSNSの管理できなくて少しストレスになってしまって放置してしまいました。でも、やっと今は全てのデータをまとめてしばらく毎週投稿できるように下準備をたくさんしました！だからこれからもよろしくお願いします！ | Posted on 30/Mar/2025 18:30:00
