I get this question a lot, especially when we invest in expensive makeup or skincare..how long can we use products after the expiry date? Last week was going through some products on my shelf that I haven’t used in a long time
And was surprised how they are of no use , so quickly thought of sharing 👇
The answer is simple: it’s all about your skin at the end of the day. Keep an eye on the texture and fragrance. If a product that was once thick becomes watery, toss it out.
Keep your products in dark cool place not near sunlight ☀️
Lipsticks often start smelling off, and liquid lipsticks tend to separate, showing oil.
Foundations can oxidize and change texture , and vitamin C changes color quickly, indicating oxidation meaning it’s no longer effective.
The same goes for active ingredients like hyaluronic acid or niacinamide. Also, remember that when the packaging mentions 6 or 12 months, it refers to the period after opening, not the manufacturing date. So, always be cautious and prioritize your skin.
