“Success is not about being the BEST, it’s about being better than YOU were yesterday.” -Kubbra Sait I get asked a lot, “Did you want to be an actor as a child?” The answer is: no. Yes, I was full-on drama — a nautanki, a joker, a jester — and I loved the attention. But did I dream of having or doing a job that’s creative, emotional, entertaining and bear the responsibility of being self-employed? Absolutely not. I did want to live in Mumbai though — and after a rollercoaster ride (or two), I made it to this city of dreams. Back then, my only stage experience was in a school drama class. Cut to now: years of being an actor, learning on the job, set after set. This post feels like a thank you note for the journey so far. Thank you to my co-actors and directors and every writer who created parts I could sink my teeth into… and immerse a piece of my heart in.
