I asked @sixsensesbhutan one question about their local Bhutanese attire & their response? Putting together the most incredible afternoon with a Bhutanese farmer taking me through her entire wardrobe & the history of their national garment and why it means so much to them.
They either make their own ‘Kira’s’, or their mothers or grandmothers make them, or they are passed down. In a world of fast fashion, this handwoven kira felt like a pause — slow, intentional, and deeply meaningful.
