The fortunate are flanked by genius These two have been the angels on my shoulders through the painstakingly patient process of creating this album. Khilnay Ko is a visual album. The sheer volume of hours @abdullah.s.siddiqui and I put into defining its sonic identity, to reflect the emotional space the songs were written in had to be handed over very carefully for visual translation and @awaisgohar held space for the extremely sensitive themes with such a nuanced understanding. This album was written for trauma healing. ‘ Not to entertain. But to survive’ It was difficult for me to trust anyone with this work while it was morphing into what it is today. I just kept writing. And the angels appeared ♥️✨🙏🏼 The rest… the work speaks for itself. And you are all tuning in. Thank you. I love my listener. I love my viewer. They are emotionally intelligent. Hungry.
