Today marks 57 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4th, 1968 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN.
Nina Simone performed the song “Why? (The King of Love Is Dead),” written by bassist Gene Taylor, at the Westbury Music Fair on April 7th.
