Nina Williams Instagram – Grinding away at the Swarm and other projects here on the East Side. It’s been an interesting season because this is the least certain I’ve ever been about an outcome. I don’t know if I’ll do the Swarm, and sending feels besides the point anyways. I’m just trying to break the mentality of perfection-or-nothing, an approach that’s held me back when it comes to pure physical effort. I can’t have brainspace to think about perfect execution when the moves are so damn hard – I just have to do them, not think, not be anywhere except that moment when my fingers are flexed and the rest of my body follows the microbeta I’ve built up session after session.
I feel a little stronger, a little smarter, with better preparation and less expectation this time around. It’s been a calculated journey largely helped by @ollietorr and @latticetraining, alongside @theclimbingphysio addressing last year’s brachio pains. I’m incredibly grateful for their guidance throughout this process 🙏🏼
