our favourite coastal gem in Italy you’ve probably never heard of (but should definitely visit!)
Here’s what we loved and what you can’t miss:
1. Wander the old town – cobbled alleys, baroque churches, and pastel buildings that look straight out of a painting.
2. Visit the Cathedral of Maria Santissima della Madia – both the façade and the interiors left us speechless.
3. Catch golden hour by the port – the blue fishing boats and warm light? Pure magic.
4. Snack on fresh seafood from a street-side kiosk – crispy, salty, and unforgettable.
5. Stop by Salumeria Gustavo – a cozy spot where we had some of the best cured meats and local snacks.
6. If you’re lucky, stumble into a street performance or local parade – we did, and it was pure joy!
Monopoli may not be on every tourist’s radar, but that’s what makes it even more special.
Just the two of us, the sea breeze, and a town that made us fall in love all over again!
