In 2022, I met this duo hesitantly. But when I walked into their ‘music room’, they embraced me with soul, and thus, the strings got attached. There are films, and then there are musical films. These “men in white” added so much colour to my imaginative world of Binodiini Ekti Natir Upakhyan … that it almost became my alter echo, a sound that sketched the characters- from a triumphant Binodiini, to a stalwart Girish Ghosh, from a silent ‘Bodhu Michhe Raag Koro Na’ Ranga Babu to eternal soul Ramkrishna, they walked the path along. Roads were bumpy, but they didn’t leave the boat, as we sailed through the ragas and raag abhiman, the final ‘rekha was drawn with their impeccable research and passion for the subject. As they often mention, they have been a part of this fraternity for two decades, but it took just one person who fell in love and sailed in faith to create this magnum opus.
