Sandra Lee Instagram – “Watch that baby!”, were the first words I heard my sister Kimber Lee say when she gave birth to my nephew, Scottie, some 34 years ago!! The nurse was taking him out of the room after he was born and away from us and Kim didn’t want him out of our sight- her eyes locking mine, “watch that baby!”,so with the baby I went.
I WAS OFFICALLY AUNT SANDY.
I watched Scottie get cleaned up, weighed, checked, etc. All the things they do for newborns. As my sister asked, I’ve watched him ever since.
We have created so many wonderful memories. Numerous trips to Disney, “no eating that gum, Scottie”, Europe (he loves Santorini as much as I (loud Aegean Caudera action, just saying), to ski trips-preferring the snowmobiles, even a beautiful trip to the White House. I’ve watched him grow into an amazing young man with incredible drive, determination, perseverance, and perspective. Now I watch him as he celebrates his 34th Birthday—so many Happy Birthday wishes sent his way.
Scott is grown with two babies of his own now, Sawyer and Presley and a beautiful wife- Alisha, his high school sweetheart. He’s living a spectacular, healthy and meaningful life while building his dreams and his career quickly.
It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow and as the years go, I wish they would slow but I want him to know how much I adore and cherish every moment I’m blessed to have with him. What a gift your birthday has been so many years ago and every day since.
